Off Balance is a collection inspired by the search for form and balance, both within ceramic objects and within my practice as a ceramic artist and designer.
The graphic compositions appear almost impossible in the way they are positioned, inviting the viewer to pause and question how the forms hold themselves together. A quiet tension exists between weight, balance, and structure.
The rough texture contrasts with the clean graphic shapes, adding a natural softness to the sculptural forms.
Material
Textured stoneware, no glaze, this piece is not waterproof.

All ceramic objects are handmade from natural materials. Variations in color, shape, and surface are inherent to the process and make each piece unique. Images shown are representative; individual pieces may vary slightly in form and dimensions.
