Studio JOA is rooted in contemporary design and focuses on small-batch handmade ceramics. Founded by Marrit, whose relationship with clay began at the age of eight, the studio reflects a lifelong dedication to craftsmanship. After studying at art school and working for many years as a graphic designer, Marrit brings a strong visual and conceptual approach to ceramic design, where structure, composition and form play a central role.

Each ceramic object is made by hand in limited quantities, ensuring that the individuality of the maker and the nature of the material remain visible in every piece. The collections consist of sculptural objects, wall pieces, and various usable objects, produced in small batches and released a few times a year.
